How to Make More Money as an Airbnb Host
Helpful Tips for Increasing Your Money as an Airbnb Host.
PROVIDE A WELCOME GIFT BOX.
In my guest welcome basket, I include bottles of water, some type of snacks, such as chocolates, potato chips, and often fruit.
A small welcome box often helps shows a friendly welcome to your guests and is the perfect introduction to your guests. We suggests a few things like bottled water, mints,
SET UP A COFFEE & TEA STATION.
A great coffee station can include instant coffee, creamer, regular sugar, and Stevia sweetener. For those that may prefer tea, also have at least 2-3 varieties of teas.
A SMART TV FOR GUESTS.
Most TV’s on the market today are Smart TV’s…meaning they can connect to the internet, come with HD resolution, and provide streaming video. This provides guests with access to a Netflix login and password, HULU, and Amazon Video.
PROVIDE A PORTABLE FAN.
Living in the south, it can easily reach over 100 degrees in the summer.
For nights that guests feel they need just a little extra dose of cool air, provide a small portable fan.
For winter months, a portable heater with a built-in safety feature that automatically shuts the unit off if it’s tilted over is also a smart addition. Another option is one or two cozy electric throw blankets.
PROVIDE EXTRA AMENITIES BASED ON YOUR NEARBY ATTRACTIONS.
Offer amenities, such as beach towels and portable beach chairs, if your guests will have access to a nearby pool or beach.
PROVIDE EASY ACCESS TO EXTRA SHEETS AND PILLOWS.
Having extra pillows and sheets in the room is one less thing your guests will have to worry about requesting from you. Extra towels are also an added plus.
SUPPLY SHAMPOO, CONDITIONER, SOAP, AND A HAIRDRYER.
Your guest will appreciate your having a hairdryer on hand as it will be one less bulk item they will have to pack. Remember to consider products for all ethnicities and hair types.
EASY ACCESS TO WIFI DIRECTIONS.
Have an attractive WIFI plaque on the wall (also listed in your Airbnb online guest instructions) that has the wifi name and password.
LOCKBOX FOR KEYS.
If you haven't upgraded to a keyless entry for your doors, I suggest that you provide a lockbox in case there are 2 visitors traveling together and they each want to go out at different times.
You can also use the lockbox to leave keys for the guests in case you'd like to allow them to arrive without meeting you in person to give them keys.
Merely change the code to the last four digits of their telephone number or something that’s easy for them to remember.
This is a small, but convenient feature appreciated by the guest, particularly if they arrive at night and are doing a self-check-in.
SUPPLY A NOTEPAD, PENS, LOCAL RESTAURANT MENUS, AND A GUIDE BOOK OF BEST PLACES TO VISIT IN YOUR CITY.
Having these items near your welcome box is a nice convenience for your guests.
